Location of classes
The classes take place at the Charlbury Yoga Studio which is located adjacent to St Diuma’s House, Park Street, Charlbury, OX7 3PT. Call 01608 819049 or e-mail for directions or see this map. (There is parking for four cars on the drive or you can park on the hill up towards Cornbury Park.)
I offer private classes either on a one-to-one basis or small groups at £45 per hour. Please e-mail email@example.com or call 01608 819049 to discuss.
Iyengar Yoga classes are suitable for all ages and levels of fitness – you do not have to be flexible to practise yoga. You must however inform me of any injuries or medical conditions prior to starting a class. Please do not have a large meal before a class nor drink immediately before (or during!) a class.
A class will involve a variety of different postures – standing, sitting, inverted and relaxing. Iyengar Yoga is a strong exercise but emphasis is placed on precision and safety.
Simple props are used such as blocks and belts to help one achieve certain postures. The class is performed with bare feet and clothing that does not impede movement is recommended. The Charlbury Yoga Studio is fully equipped so you do not need to bring a mat or any props with you. Changing facilities are limited so it is best to come dressed prepared for the class.
